Troubled psychiatrist Daniel Forrester (Shane Carruth of PRIMER, UPSTREAM COLOR) is drawn to help a mysterious patient (Jeremy Childs) who is brought to the emergency psych ward in a catatonic state with no memory of how he reached the hospital. As if to exorcise his own demons, the doctor feverishly tries to break through to his patient. But as a spate of inexplicable deaths shake the ward to its core, Forrester comes to suspect that there is more to his new ward than meets the eye. As he comes to realize what he’s unleashed, a desperate race against the forces of evil threatens to swallow him whole.

No stranger to unchecked, chaotic (but not yet chthonic) growth, the city of Nashville has offered some of its best talent both in front of and behind the camera in this exquisite and rigorous nightmare.

“This is psychological horror at its best, when the eventual bloodletting pales in comparison to a Lovecraftian realization that one is well and truly doomed.” —Kevin A. Ranson, moviecrypt.com

“By dividing us between two conflicting forms - psychodrama and apocalyptic horror - it occupies the ambiguous, intermediate space of its title, sending us spinning in mental circles around a centre that is, for all its uncertainty, sublimely creepy.” —Anton Bitel, SciFiNow
