TAKE ME TO THE RIVER: NEW ORLEANS

Part of Music City Mondays.

A follow-up to the Memphis-focused 2014 film bearing the same name, TAKE ME TO THE RIVER: NEW ORLEANS celebrates the rich musical history, the heritage, legacy and influence of New Orleans and Louisiana — a collaboration and melting pot from around the world. Our adventure shows the resiliency of surviving disaster to a formidable rebirth, while pairing legacy musicians with stars of today — and how this unique cultural jewel came to exist.

Featuring the Neville Brothers, Dr. John, Irma Thomas, Ledisi, Mystikal, G-Eazy, Snoop Dogg, WIlliam Bell, Anders Osborne, Galactic, Mannie Fresh, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Christian Scott, Donald Harrison, Big Freeda, Ani DiFranco, Rebirth Brass Band, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Soul Rebels, Dumpstaphunk, Bobby Kimball, Lost Bayou Ramblers, Walter Wolfman Washington, Master P, Jon Batiste and many others.

NOTE: On Wed, May 18, TAKE ME TO THE RIVER’s director and the traveling all star band will be performing live at the Brooklyn Bowl. More information here.
