Sunday Supper

2023 has gifted us with two major additions to the growing canon of Great Films About Food, each in direct conversation with each other. The great observational documentarian Frederick Wiseman’s 4-hour immersion into the operation and output of a three-star Michelin restaurant in rural France, MENUS-PLAISIR LES TROISGROS (Dec 31-Jan 1), is an extension of the pioneering gourmet innovations on display in Trân Anh Hùng’s sumptuous period drama THE TASTE OF THINGS (opening Feb 14). Folded between these bookends is a five-course feast from the Greatest Films About Food canon. Set yourselves some dinner plans and join us on Sunday nights.
