All Screenings: Pre-recorded introduction from SNL cast member and Belcourt member James Austin Johnson

A freewheeling Detroit cop Axel Foley (Eddie Murphy) pursuing a murder investigation finds himself working with partner Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) — and within the very different culture of the Beverly Hills Police Department. Filmed at the height of Murphy’s success at SNL, the film made the comedian a massive star, launched a #1-selling soundtrack, and did much to establish the action-comedy as the biggest genre of the ‘80s.
