Directed by Roddy Bogawa and the late, Hipgnosis album cover designer Storm Thorgerson (who also designed for Led Zeppelin, Paul McCartney, and Black Sabbath), this feature length documentary lifts the lid on the relationship between Pink Floyd and founding member Syd Barrett, who left the group before they met stardom. Intimate interviews with band members David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Roger Waters, along with Pete Townsend and others, uncover Barrett’s ongoing impact on the group — markedly their sound and image — including his inspiration on worldwide hits “The Dark Side of the Moon” and “Wish You Were Here,” written in tribute to him.
