JUMANJI

Part of Weekend Classics: Animal Kingdom

When siblings Judy and Peter stumble upon a magical, jungle-themed board game named Jumanji and decide to play it, they accidentally release Alan (Robin Williams) who has been trapped inside the game world for years. With each dice roll, the players unleash a whirlwind of increasingly dangerous obstacles that they must work together to triumph. Menacing monkeys, stampeding elephants, giant spiders and unpredictable weather phenomena are just a few of the challenges that the unlikely team must overcome in order to finish the game and secure Alan’s permanent freedom.

“The joy of JUMANJI is in how sparingly director Joe Johnston deploys his arsenal of computers, making the tricks and shocks the more real.” —Quentin Crisp, The Independent

“It's a rampaging special-effects and animatronics extravaganza.” —Peter Stack, San Francisco Chronicle

“Keeps the suspense, thrills and comedy running high through the surprising end and supplies interesting characters with moving plights that keep the audience rooting.” —Christine James, Boxoffice Magazine
