ONE FINE MORNING

Sandra (Léa Seydoux) is a widowed young mother raising her daughter on her own, while also caring for her sick father (Pascal Greggory). She’s dealing with the loss of the relationship she once had with her father, while she and her mother and sister fight to get him the care he requires. At the same time, Sandra reconnects with Clément (Melvil Poupaud), a friend she hasn’t seen in a while and, although he’s married, their friendship soon blossoms into a passionate affair. This stunningly humane portrait of a life in upheaval is an outstanding vehicle for Seydoux whose Sandra handles all the twists and turns thrown her way with remarkable grace and gentleness. A beautiful and bittersweet ode to middle age from the director of BERGMAN ISLAND and GOODBYE FIRST LOVE.

“Beautifully balanced, persuasive and moving.” —Manohla Dargis, Critic’s Pick, New York Times

“It explores love, both romantic and familial, with no trace of drama or sappiness, and without ever feeling slight. It’s a balm of a film and another glorious showcase for the director’s light touch when dealing with complicated emotions.” —Anna Bogutskaya, Time Out

“In the quietly miraculous ONE FINE MORNING, writer-director Mia Hansen-Løve and her leading lady Léa Seydoux make the old feel new again…. Few filmmakers evoke the passage of time, the changes that accompany it, and how we fumble and flail, but ultimately adapt, with the understated poignancy of Hansen-Løve.” —Jon Frosch, Hollywood Reporter
