Richie Bravo, once upon a time a successful pop star, chases after his faded fame in wintry Rimini. Trapped between permanent intoxication and concerts for busloads of tourists, his world starts to collapse when his adult daughter breaks into his life, demanding money from him that he doesn’t have.

"A shiveringly precise slow burn that continues to burrow new tunnels in the mind long after it ends." —Jessica Kiang, Variety

"Another pitch-black comedy from Austrian filmmaker Ulrich Seidl. His usual unblinking approach creates a character study that's impossible to look away from." —Rich Cline, Shadows on the Wall

"The spectacle of Richie slouching almost daintily on his Toad of Toad Hall legs past Rimini's mist-shrouded shore and liminal spaces carries metaphorical weight: he’s a monument to selfishness and fraudulence in an entropic Europe." —Graham Fuller, The Arts Desk
