Beverly (Kathleen Turner) is the perfect happy homemaker. Along with her doting husband Eugene (Sam Waterston) and two children, Misty (Ricki Lake) and Chip (Matthew Lillard), she lives a life straight out of Good Housekeeping. But this nuclear family might just explode when Beverly’s fascination with serial killers collides with her ever-so-proper code of ethics, transforming her from middle class mom to mass murderer! Soon, the bodies begin to pile up — and suburbia faces a horror even worse than wearing white after Labor Day.

Featuring appearances by Mink Stole, Suzanne Somers, Traci Lords and Patty Hearst, SERIAL MOM sees transgressive auteur par excellence John Waters (Pope of Trash. Prince of Puke) bringing his unrivaled brand of camp to ‘90s suburbia for a bloody hilarious cult classic.

“With SERIAL, the renegade director/writer kicks the nation smack in its collective groin, marvelously mocking the oh-so-current mania over crime figures and tabloid scandals.” —Susan Wloszczyna, USA Today (Apr 13, 1994)

“SERIAL MOM makes Waters’s notion that stardom and perversion are basically the same thing almost meta.” —Eric Henderson, Slant Magzine
