Buckle up, campers! Weeknight Rewind is back after an 11 year hiatus for a very special weekend installment of our signature VHS roulette event.
In celebration of the brainmeltingly lovely deconstructionist TEENAGE SEX AND DEATH AT CAMP MIASMA (link), we’re resurrecting this long-forgotten analog rite for one night only with a very special selection of thematically appropriate mystery movies. Additionally, we’ll be hosting a tape swap before the film and have local purveyors of physical media Emergency Movie Services, Danger Zone Video, Press Play Video and King Gorilla Video on site for you to browse to your heart’s content.
For the uninitiated, Weeknight Rewind starts with a specially-assembled, all-analog preshow reel, followed by a clip reel of three selections and a back-of-box synopsis-reading from a special selection of three videotapes. Then, in the great tradition of American democracy, you vote to decide which of these slashtastic tapes to watch. Don’t get up, we’ll adjust the tracking for you.
