THEATER CAMP

Lifelong best friends and drama instructors at a rundown camp in upstate New York, Amos (Tony Award winner Ben Platt) and Rebecca-Diane (Molly Gordon) find their lives and relationship torn asunder when the camp’s founder (Amy Sedaris) goes into a coma. When her clueless tech-bro son Troy (Jimmy Tatro) arrives to run the property (into the ground), Amos, Rebecca-Diane and production manager Glenn (Noah Galvin) band together with the staff and students, staging a masterpiece to keep their beloved summer camp afloat.

THEATER CAMP contains sequences with flashing lights that may affect those who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy or have other photosensitivities.

“Being a theater geek isn’t required to enjoy THEATER CAMP, but it certainly can’t hurt. Mostly, though, this is just funny and smart and sweet stuff, a crowd pleaser for the misfit in all of us…. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, jeez, you might even sing.” —Kate Erbland, IndieWire

“There’s so much heart throughout THEATER CAMP — it also doesn’t overstay its welcome, landing at a tight 94 minutes packed to the minute with visual gags and quick comments you don’t want to miss…. This is a film that will be the most fun in a theater full of other people who really and truly get it.” —Mary Siroky, Consequence Film

“It’s the extraordinary group of young actors who propel THEATER CAMP forward…. As the heart of the operation, these over-the-top characters remind the jaded grownups and the audience of why spaces like AdirondACTS matter. That the comedy here took shape spontaneously from the chemistry of the ensemble merits greater appreciation for how well it works from scene to scene.” —Carlos Aquilar, The Wrap
