Triptych Writing Workshop

Presented by The Porch and the Belcourt Theatre. Led by Susannah Felts of The Porch.

Triptych Writing Workshop

General Admission: $30 | Belcourt/Porch Members: $25

Join the Belcourt and the Porch for a film-inspired writing workshop to kick off the new year. Jim Jarmusch’s new film, FATHER MOTHER SISTER BROTHER, is constructed in the form of a triptych. The three chapters all concern the relationships between adult children reconnecting or coming to terms with aging or lost parents — which take place in the present and each in a different country. We’ll use the film as inspiration to write our own personal narratives in three parts. This is a generative workshop, so bring your writing materials or a laptop.

Presented in conjunction with Jim Jarmusch’s FATHER MOTHER SISTER BROTHER, opening at the Belcourt on Fri, Jan 9. See the film on your own, then join us for the workshop. Movie tickets sold separately.
