Are you a high school student who loves animation? The Belcourt’s education and engagement program and Skybone Studios are partnering to host a summer animation workshop just for high school students. The workshop will be held in the Belcourt’s Jackson Education and Engagement Space Mon-Fri, Jul 20-24, 10:00am-3:00pm.

At each session, Skybone Studios animators will share a collection of animated short films from a variety of styles, eras and cultures, providing a holistic overview of the medium of animation. After the films (and a brief lunch break), students will be guided through hands-on projects exploring animation techniques. This will result in a finished collaborative work that will be screened on the Belcourt big screen on the final day.

No experience is necessary. Equipment, lunch and snacks will be provided.

The workshop is led by Nathan Morrow from Skybone Studios, with the assistance of Belcourt education and engagement staff.

Please note: The workshop is designed to be taken in its entirety (no single sessions). Capacity is limited to 18 students.
