Artist, scholar, landscape architect, and fine artist, Olin is one of the most significant urban designers of our time. His work has shaped many of the world’s most beloved parks and public spaces, including Bryant Park, the Washington Monument grounds, the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden, and the Getty Center gardens.
Through Olin’s story—and conversations with design luminaries including Frank Gehry, Billie Tsien, and Walter Hood—the film explores his profoundly social vision: that thoughtful, shared public spaces can reconnect us with nature, strengthen communities, and help create a more democratic and humane society.
