Since the onset of the pandemic, 2022 marked the first full year when the Belcourt’s doors were continually open. The data and metrics in our 2022 Annual Report show the return of many film fans to watch movies on our big screens and the generosity of hundreds of annual supporters, as well as what we “got right” in navigating the pandemic — but these numbers also reflect our ongoing recovery still in-progress and the continuing challenges of film releasing schedules, membership levels, and ticket revenues.
As we reflect on 2022 — and look forward to the rest of 2023, 2024, and our centennial year, 2025 — the Belcourt continues its commitment to engage, enrich, and educate through innovative film programming in our historic theatre, our community, and beyond.
