In one of the most twisted romances of all time, young lovers Sailor (Nicolas Cage) — fresh off a self-defensive manslaughter wrap — and Lula (Laura Dern) set out on a parole-breaking, post-incarceration road trip to sunny California. They’re met along the way by a bizarre array of characters all dead-set on killing Sailor and gathering the reward for a hit put out by Lula’s hysterical mother. Tinged throughout with equal parts WIZARD OF OZ and Elvis, this surreal neo-noir becomes a sort of dark fairytale about the power of true love and the slimeballs and creeps you meet along the way.

“Starting with the outrageous and building from there, [David Lynch] ignites a slight love-on-the-run novel, creating a bonfire of a movie that confirms his reputation as the most exciting and innovative filmmaker of his generation.” —Peter Travers, Rolling Stone

“Joltingly violent, wickedly funny and rivetingly erotic, David Lynch's WILD AT HEART [based on the novel by Barry Gifford] is a rollercoaster ride to redemption through an American gothic heart of darkness.” —Variety
