TWIN PEAKS: FIRE WALK WITH ME

Part of Bowie On Film.

In the last seven days of her life, Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee), besieged by a transuniversal conflict reaching back into infinity, must face her own immovable destiny amongst the myriad of secrets in the town of Twin Peaks. Originally filmed as a prequel to the cult television series, the movie appeared in theaters after the series was canceled and attempted to answer the big questions for diehard fans. Who would have wanted to kill prom queen Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee) — and why? The usual suspects (Grace Zabriskie, Ray Wise, Kyle MacLachan) reprise their roles, alongside guest stars Kiefer Sutherland and David Bowie. The outrageously dark FIRE WALK WITH ME is a möbius strip that encompasses the beginning and end of the first two seasons of the beloved television show — but is a completely singular experience in its own right.

“In its own singular, deeply strange way, FIRE WALK WITH ME is David Lynch's masterpiece.” —Calum Marsh, Village Voice

“At its best, it's a dream within a dream, a nightmare in endlessly reflecting pop mirrors, a screen full of TV-movie sex and horror kitsch blowing up right in our faces.” —Michael Wilmington, Los Angeles Times
