Kat Stratford (Julia Stiles) is beautiful, smart and quite abrasive to most of her fellow teens, meaning that she doesn’t attract many boys. Unfortunately for her younger sister, Bianca (Larisa Oleynik), house rules say she can’t date until Kat has a boyfriend, so strings are pulled to set the dour damsel up for a romance. Soon Kat crosses paths with handsome new arrival Patrick Verona (Heath Ledger). Will Kat let her guard down enough to fall for the effortlessly charming Patrick? Will this cult classic adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Taming of the Shrew” hold up after 25 years? You decide!

“Marvelous set pieces contribute to this lively romantic comedy. You don't have to be a Shakespearean scholar to enjoy it. You don't have to be a teenager, either.” —Bob Ross, Tampa Tribune

Smartly written, lofted into orbit by a heads-up ensemble performance, it's bursting with new talent on both sides of the camera.” —Jay Carr, Boston Globe

“Captures a moment of teen drama, fear, and exploration in a perfect time capsule.” —Joelle Monique, Pajiba
