How odd that one of — in our view — the most interesting, enlightening, and joyous of Oscar Nights would occur in a year of mass cinema closures when very few of the nominated films actually spent meaningful time in a theater. We could dedicate an entire month to all of the films that came out last year that are so very worthy of the big screen experience, but we’re happy to shine a light on these films — key Oscar winners from a most unusual ceremony and a most unusual year.
